Frequently Asked Questions

Isn’t it dangerous to have a dog that is trained to bite around my children?

The key to understanding this is to understand genetics. Dogs that have been bred to have a stable temperament are extremely trustworthy around friends and family. In fact, in many police departments, the police K9 lives at home with the police officer and his family.

Where do your dogs come from?

Our dogs are sourced from breeders around the world, especially the Czech Republic. Currently, some of the best quality German Shepherd dogs come from there. We also do breed our own bloodlines.

Why do you mainly have with German Shepherds in your program?

We have trained and sold other dogs of other breeds over the years, from German Shepherds to Rottweilers to Belgian Malinois. We find that the German Shepherd dog is the best all-around dog for our program. They tend to have lower exercise requirements than the typical Malinois and are easier to handle than a Rottweiler.

What is a PDC? Why do you use it?

We use the Protection Sport Association PDC (Protection Dog Certification) as a minimum standard for our dogs. We believe this test provides excellent third-party validation of the dogs genetic quality and training. While our dogs are trained above the minimum requirements for the PDC, they must obtain this level of performance before they can be a “Highspeed” dog.
